"Really nice chippy they use beef dripping. So you get that lovely colouring on the chips and the batter on the fish. Cracking fish and chips!!"

"I traveled over from Leeds to try this fish shop after hearing great things about it, and we were not disappointed! The service on Thursday tea time was absolutely fantastic. There are some benches outside where you can sit and enjoy your fish and chips. I have to say, based on my other reviews of fish and chip shops, this place is definitely in my top three in Yorkshire, if not the best. The chips were cooked perfect, and the fish was lovely and flaky, cooked in beef dripping. I highly recommend it and will definitely be revisiting!"

"Absolutely incredible! I have been meaning to try George A Greens for a few years now, but it’s a 3 hour round trip, but can definitely say it was worth it. The star of the show are the chips, lovely and sweet and nicely browned. The fish was excellent too, a lovely thick fillet with super crispy batter cooked to perfection. This is definitely the rolls Royce of fish and chip shops. I had my own chippy for many years, so I know whats good and what is not. This is a must try for any fish and chip connoisseurs"

"I stopped here for lunch after watching various YouTube videos of various food bloggers Danny malin, the macmaster etc. I was very impressed. I ordered 1 special fish , which was more like a whale. Fish and chips and peas and gravy. Everything was going well until I had to pay. It is cash or bank transfer. My telephone would not play ball on the bank transfer. This was very embarrassing. The lovely lady server brought my food out to me and told me to pay from home. I thanked them and managed to do the transfer about 10 minutes later. Outstanding service. I've never had this before. Thr food was excellent and deserves to be the no1 chippy in the uk. Again thankyou from the very tall man . 10/10"

"Brilliant fish +chips for a lunch time snack. Generous portion of both. Cooked, I think in beef dripping, tasting like they did when I were a lad many years back. We ate outside on the table in glorious sunshine. Staff were great as well. It'll be great when the flowers return. THANX Geoff n Stu"
